The Unadilla Public Library would like to thank those of you who came to our public events during the summer. The Library had a great turn out for our events. We had BubbleMania; Dirtmeister; Kopernik Space Program and Air Rockets; Moreland the Magician; Ross Park Zoo Zoomobile; Reading is Magic with Jim Snack; K-9 handler demonstration presented by New York State Police Troop C; Dog K-9 Search & Rescue & the Delaware Valley Humane Society Presentation; and our Summer Reading Program. Come and enjoy the weather and read the new story Animals At Night. The book is about animals, what they do until morning and how do they move, see, hunt in the dark. You can answer questions. The answers are at the end of the story. It also glows in the dark! Look for the picture on our Facebook.

A 45 minute presentation. With animals for the participants to see and touch. “Universe of Stories” 

July 29th  1:30 PM

A 45 minute show with a blend of magic, puppetry, comedy, and audience participation, and it celebrates the fun of reading and visiting your library all summer long.  

Kopernik Observatory & Science Center

July 25th  there will be 2 sections 

1:00 PM & 2:00 PM 

at the Unatego Elementary School

The Space Program and Air Rockets:

This presentation will feature a 30 minute talk on the Space program. They’ll bring some artifacts of the Space program and talk about the four astronauts who grew up in the Southern Tier. After the presentation the attendees will make an air rocket from an 8 1/2 x 11 inch sheet of paper. Once the rocket is built, they will head outside and with an air compressor, launch the rocket 30 to 40 feet in the air. Attendees will take the air rocket home. Kopernik supplies all materials needed for the rockets.

Dirtmeister “Blast Off With Reading”

An high energy, interactive show featuring over a dozen dynamic demos exploring the scientific principles behind airplanes and rockets while also presenting some of the history of flight and space exploration.

July 11th 1PM at the Unatego Elementary School Doug Rougeux will be performing BubbleMania.

July 13th 9AM-3PM we will have our annual Book Sale.

Come and read our new story.  What was I Scared of?  By Dr. Seuss   I am excited about this story. It is a Glow-in- the- Dark Encounter. Please stop in the Library and let us know what you think about this story.
